Stradun
The Stradun is the biggest, longest and widest street in Dubrovnik, of which its inhabitants are proud. The name Stradun is a pejorative augmentative used to name this really beautiful street by the jealous Venetians.
Wild League
The Wild League was founded in 1983. It is a water polo championship held on Dubrovnik's beaches with more than 1100 players in as many as 55 clubs, or beach teams. Water polo in Dubrovnik is a religion and as such the – Wild League - the highlight of the summer season.
Traditional sports
Maybe the headline traditional sport is a little confusing for this is more if a challenge than a sport. The idea is to climb onto a stone that protrudes from a wall. In theory it doesn’t maybe sound that difficult, but there are a few things that need to be taken into account.
Salt is gold
Salt in many terms in Ston is the cities gold. In fact it was so important that the city of Dubrovnik actually included it in their Statue in 1272 and set strict rules for production, sale and transport of Ston's salt.
