Shopping Centres

Unfortunately Dubrovnik is still waiting for its first classic shopping centre, or mall. There are a couple of centres in and around the city but these are not really what you’d expect and what you can see in thousands of European cities.

The two centres are DOC which is located in Lapad and Mercante in the business district of Gruž. The DOC centre is a half open air/half closed shopping centre that houses around thirty different stores. The majority of these are clothes and shoe shops and there is also a supermarket. Shops include: Nike, Benetton, Miss Sixty Shoe Be doo, and Tally Wejl. The Mercante shopping centre is smaller and contains around twenty shops. This is an indoor shopping centre on one level and has its own parking garage. Again it contains mainly cloths shops.
