On the annual Museum Night that is happening all over Croatia sometime in January, various museums are opening their doors for the public free of charge.
The St. Blaise Festival
According to legend, St. Blaise supposedly saved Dubrovnik in the 10th century when the Venetian galleys dropped anchor in Gruž and near Lokrum under the pretext that they must renew their water supply before continuing their journey to the Levant.
Homemade jam and marmalade on Stradun
The annual Croatian festival of Jam and Marmalade that is held on Stradun in front of the St. Blaise Church in fall, is a great opportunity to try and buy home made products and to see traditional costumes.
Libertas Film Festival
The Libertas Film Festival is a celebration of film from all over the world in the walls of the ancient walls of Dubrovnik. The festival is normally held through the summer months although in recent years it has moved to the early part of the season. The festival makes the most of the outside cinemas and spaces around the city and apart from featuring Croatian films the festival is well known for highlighting up and coming films and artists from all over the world.

International Wine & Jazz Festival
Dubrovnik “swings” to the sounds of jazz with the Dubrovnik International Wine & Jazz Festival! The festival takes place in the heart of the Old City, and features world-class jazz, outstanding Croatian wines and award-winning Croatian artists and painters.
Let the music play
The klapa music is a form of traditional Croatian a capella singing. The word klapa translates as "a group of people" and traces its roots to littoral church singing. The motifs in general celebrate love, wine (grapes), country (homeland) and sea. Main elements of the music are harmony and melody, with rhythm very rarely being very important.
Dance till you drop
The Linđo Folklore Ensemble has been in Dubrovnik - a city of stone, light, art, history, harmony, tradition and beauty for already forty years. The first audition was held in 1964. Since then, more than three thousand members have been part of the ensemble, achieving top results where ever they appeared, and always under the watchful eye of the artistic director.
