The Rector's Palace

c_350_250_16777215_00___images_info_067.jpg Built in the 15th century the Rector's Palace was a symbol of Dubrovnik’s independence, the centre of politics and diplomacy as well as home to many rectors during their one-month mandate in the post. Externally, the Rector's Palace is one of the most beautiful palaces of Dubrovnik, with elements of late Gothic and Renaissance styles.

In the atrium, under the watchful eye of the renowned Dubrovnik citizen Miho Pracat, a number of concerts of classical music can be heard today. The Historical Museum of the City of Dubrovnik is located inside the Rector’s Palace.
