Lokrum
The island of Lokrum, also known as the island of kings, was first mentioned in 1023 when the Benedictine abbey and monastery was built. Legend says that Richard the Lion-heart shipwrecked there in 1192 on his way how from crusades.
Koločep
Koločep, or Kalamota as the locals like to call it, is part of the Elaphite group of islands. In fact it is the nearest of the Elaphite islands to Dubrovnik and therefore can be easy reached by a short ferry ride. It is an evergreen island full of pine and carob trees entangled with citrus gardens and small olive groves. A true Mediterranean paradise and a great destination to spend for a day trip.
Šipan
Šipan is the largest island in the Elaphite group of islands and is situated 17 nm from Dubrovnik. The island has a special place in the hearts of the Dubrovnik citizens and through history many noble families from the city built summer residences on Šipan. Today the island is a firm favourite of tourists who come back year after year to experience the beauty and the peace that Šipan offers.
Mljet
Mljet is an island that leaves you short of superlatives. Its sheer natural beauty is unsurpassed in the region and beyond. The national park, that covers around a third of the island, contains two natural lakes that even have an island in them, so one could say that Mljet has an island on an island.
