Grape harvest inside the city walls

To see the historic city centre of Dubrovnik sculpted in stone, it is interesting to find grapes in the Franciscan Monestary which hardworking monks manage to harvest in their gardens.

The vines are planted in the gardens of the monastery and although the lattice on which they climb was destroyed in the Homeland War by a shrapnel grenade it was rebuilt in 2009.
